Inventory: boxes, packs and pieces
How TattooBooking describes what you buy — a box of packs of pieces — and where you set that up for each item.

Open this in the appInventory lives under Shops → Inventory in the app. Everything it stores is counted in pieces — one needle, one cartridge, one cap. Boxes and packs are just the way those pieces arrive, and you tell the app that shape once, per item, on the item's setup card.
The three tiers
A single item can come in up to three tiers:

Pieces per box is never typed. The app works it out as packs per box × pieces per pack, and the setup card shows the result under the size field: "Pieces per box: 200 — worked out, never typed."
Not everything has all three tiers. The setup card asks two yes/no questions and shows only the fields that apply:

The item setup card
The setup card is a pop-up, not a page. It opens from three places:
- Catalog (
Inventory → Catalog): tick the products you want and press Add to Inventory. The card opens once per product, with an "Item 1 of 3" counter at the top. - Add Item on a shop's master list.
- The gear button on any row of the master list, labelled Edit setup ("Edit setup: brand, vendor, link, packaging, price, minimum and ideal").
The card's title is "Set up: …" for a new item and "Edit setup: …" for an existing one. From top to bottom it asks for:
- Brand (for example "Kwadron") and Vendor — who you buy it from. Vendors are set up separately under
Inventory → Vendors. - Reorder link — where you go to order more. Leave it blank to use the catalog's product page or the vendor's website instead.
- Does it come in boxes? and Does it come in packs? — the two questions above.
- How many packs in a box? (only when both answers are Yes) and How many pieces in a pack? (or "…in a box?" when there is no pack tier).
- Cost per pack, Cost per box or Cost per piece — the label follows your answers. Enter what one costs you in dollars. If you get a case discount, enter the effective per-pack price.
- Minimum (pieces) — "Reorder when it drops to this." As you type, the card shows the pack equivalent: "40 pieces = 2 packs."
- Ideal (pieces) — "How much you want on hand." Same equivalent shown underneath.
Whole numbers only. If you type something else the card says so ("Enter a whole number of pieces, at least 1") and will not save.
Nothing is written until you press Save setup (or Add to inventory). Cancelling leaves the item exactly as it was.
The master list
Inventory → Master List shows your shops. Pick one (View details) to open its list — the page is titled Shop Inventory.
The master list reports; it does not define the product. On each row you will see:
- Packaging — for example "10 packs × 20 pcs (200/box)", "Box of 50", "Pack of 100" or "Loose pieces". If the app had to guess the packaging from old numbers, the row shows an amber "unconfirmed" tag: "Guessed from the numbers on file. Open Edit setup to confirm."
- On hand — the total in pieces, in bold, with the same stock as whole tiers underneath: "1 box · 2 packs · 7 loose".
- Min and Ideal — in pieces, with "= 2 packs" style equivalents underneath.
- Suggested — how many pieces to order to get back up to the ideal.
- Status — Out, Reorder, Low, OK or Overstock, worked out from the count against Minimum and Ideal.
- Cost and Value — cost per pack (or per box when there is no pack tier), and packs on hand × cost per pack.
Only Minimum and Ideal can be typed directly into the list. Click into either, change the number, and it saves when you press Enter or click away ("Updated"). Everything else — packaging, cost, vendor, order link — changes through Edit setup on the row. The on-hand figure changes only through a count or the Adjust stock button ("Use, write off, or put stock back").
Removing an item from the list hides it and keeps its count history ("Remove from your list (keeps count history)"). You can show hidden items again with the Show hidden toggle and put one back on your list.
Confirming packaging on older items
An item set up before the two packaging questions were part of the setup card has no "packs in a box" number on file. For those items the app estimates the packaging from the numbers it has and marks the row with the amber "unconfirmed" tag. Once you confirm the setup, the box column on the master list follows it.
Nothing on the shelf has moved — the pieces you have are the pieces you had. The list shows a one-time notice explaining this ("Box figures changed: pack and box sizes now come from each item's setup…"). Open Edit setup on each row, answer the two questions, and the "unconfirmed" tag goes away. The notice is dismissed per browser, so you may see it again on another device.
